Do You Really Believe the Grass is Greener on the Other Side?

Are you in a rut, and believe that the grass is really greener on the other side?

Just when you think you're done with your relationship and you must walk over hills and mountains to find your destined love, irony smacks you in the face!
I was in my car the other day looking for the right radio station to continue the good mood I was in and came across a song that I have loved singing to since I was a little girl. Never before had I tuned into the lyrics, other than the hook: "Do yo like pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain?" After the song finished, I laughed my ass off!
So this one guy felt he was in a rut and responded to a want ad believing that the grass was greener on the other side. After arranging to meet up with the woman behind the ad, he discovers "the lady" was his actual lady seeking greener pasture as well. Now, isn't that something?!
Case in point: Take a moment to truly get to know your partner when you feel you are in a rut or tempted to walk across mountains and hills and sweat like a hog in the process. You may be pleasantly surprised to find that what you have been looking for was sitting there all along--you just didn't take the time to discover it.
Enjoy the lyrics and enlighten yourself with the notion that there is always something more we can discover about our lover. Take the time to share a pina colada and save one for me!
"I was tired of my lady
We'd been together too long
Like a worn-out recording
Of a favorite song
So while she lay there sleepin
I read the paper in bed
And in the personal columns
There was this letter I read:
If you like pina coladas
And getting caught in the rain
If you're not into yoga
If you have half a brain
If you like making love at midnight
In the dunes on the cape
Then I'm the love that you've looked for
Write to me and escape
I didn't think about my lady
I know that sounds kinda mean
But me and my old lady
Had fallen into the same old dull routine
So I wrote to the paper
Took out a personal ad
And though I'm nobody's poet
I thought it wasn't half bad
Yes I like pina coladas
And getting caught in the rain
I'm not much into health food
I am into champagne
I've got to meet you by tomorrow noon
And cut through all this red tape
At a bar called O'Malleys
Where we'll plan our escape
So I waited with high hopes
And she walked in the place
I knew her smile in an instant
I knew the curve of her face
It was my own lovely lady
And she said, oh it's you
Then we laughed for a moment
And I said, I never knew
That you liked pina coladas
And getting caught in the rain
And the feel of the ocean
And the taste of the champagne
If you like making love at midnight
In the dunes on the cape
You're the lady I've looked for
Come with me and escape
If you like pina coladas
And getting caught in the rain
If you're not into yoga
If you have half a brain
If you like making love at midnight
In the dunes on the summer cape
Then I'm the love that you've looked for
Write to me and escape
Yes I like pina coladas
And getting caught in the rain
I'm not much into health food
I am into champagne
I've got to meet you by tomorrow noon
And cut through all this red tape
At a bar called O'Malleys
Where we'll plan our escape..."
