Unfortunately one person was very upset about the email addresses being visible and voiced an opinion about that as well as his take on the sound level in both rooms at our most recent event. This feedback was sent to all attendees and I want to make it right.
The day after each event, I send a thank you email to all attendees. I am usually aware and use the BCC field. There hasn't been a glitch in over 4 years. I must admit I was in a hurry to get the email out and inadvertently put the addresses in the wrong field. I can guarantee that wont happen again.
Our events are different than bridal shows in many ways. Some things are out of our control. Often times for example, lighting and table sizes are limited by the venue. However, sound is controllable and we try to keep the music at a level that attendees can both hear it as well as conduct productive conversations. I believe in this case that the music was purposely louder at the end of the evening as the DJ wanted to showcase his newest offerings in lighting and sound.
