ALL Feedback IS Good
feed·back
noun \ˈfēd-ˌbak\ : helpful information or criticism that is given to someone to say what can be done to improve a performance, product, etc
Unfortunately one person was very upset about the email addresses being visible and voiced an opinion about that as well as his take on the sound level in both rooms at our most recent event. This feedback was sent to all attendees and I want to make it right.
The day after each event, I send a thank you email to all attendees. I am usually aware and use the BCC field. There hasn't been a glitch in over 4 years. I must admit I was in a hurry to get the email out and inadvertently put the addresses in the wrong field. I can guarantee that wont happen again.
Our events are different than bridal shows in many ways. Some things are out of our control. Often times for example, lighting and table sizes are limited by the venue. However, sound is controllable and we try to keep the music at a level that attendees can both hear it as well as conduct productive conversations. I believe in this case that the music was purposely louder at the end of the evening as the DJ wanted to showcase his newest offerings in lighting and sound.
We value all opinions and comments -- the good, the bad, and the ugly! Each one is a contribution to making our events better. These events are for you and we strive to make them the best they can be.

How to Cross-Promote Your Email Content | VR Marketing Blog
How Cross Promoting Can Help Your Business
Email marketing is a valuable tool for any business. When it’s combined with cross-promotion techniques, your results can be even better. To help business owners tackle the logistics of cross-promotions, we’ve created this handy guide to walk you through the process.
What does cross-promotion mean?
Let’s start by defining cross-promotion. Cross-promotion is about getting your message
out on multiple channels. Your target audience gets information from various sources, right? By using multiple sources to share your message, you help increase the odds of customers hearing about it, says Steven Mintz, a marketing consultant with CLM Prescriptives.
What can you cross-promote?
You can cross-promote just about anything. From an upcoming event to a big holiday sale, with
a little planning you can cross-promote a lot of the everyday things that your company does. For instance, you can cross-promote:
How can you cross-promote?
We live in an email checking, Facebook scrolling, content-on-demand world. Because of that,
the majority of cross-promotions happen online. Plan to use the most relevant digital platforms that are available to you.
To breakdown how to cross-promote your email content, we’ll use an example from a cross-promoting giant, Coca-Cola. Recently, the company launched a charitable event, “Happiness from the Skies.” Using remote-controlled drones, the beverage-giant delivered care packages to construction workers in Singapore. The packages contained Coke cans with messages of gratitude.
While most businesses won’t be breaking out flying drones anytime soon, the cross-promotion behind this event is something any business can learn from.
Send an email
The Coca-Cola event happened millions of miles away, so how did we hear about it? Through an email, of course. As part of its regular newsletter, Coca-Cola included a small blurb about the event.

"Want More Clients? Put Your Signature On It"
People don’t buy diets. They buy weight loss,
vitality, feeling sexier, and more confidence.
In that same way, no one really buys coaching,
consulting or training.
What they do buy is a solution to their
problems. And if you can make that solution into a system, a formula,
or a step-by-step model, people will clamber for it.
With all the chaos, noise, and distractions in
daily life, there is nothing more valuable than a system that makes it easy and
straightforward for your clients to get their problems solved.
That’s why I teach my clients to create their
own Signature System. A Signature System is a way of grouping your services
together sequentially that makes your processes more easily understood and
followed by your clients.
Think of your Signature System as a
“blueprint for success” – not only for your clients, but for
you as well. It gives you an outline to follow that makes sure you
cover everything in the most effective order, one that logically leads from one
step to the next.
Your System is also a wealth of principles, strategies, and exercises that you can multi-purpose into other products such as group classes, home study courses, tele-classes.
Here some steps to follow when creating your own Signature System:
1. First and foremost, your System needs to
produce tangible results. Make a list of them in terms of how your
client’s lives/businesses will be transformed after completing your
system.
2. Now think about how you work with your clients 1
on 1 to achieve those results. Make an outline of the steps you follow most
often and in what order with a short description of each.
3. Take a look at your outline and expand it
into a set number of steps. 5 to 10 steps is about the right number, as too
many more can be overwhelming and too few looks ineffective.
4. Now give your Signature System a captivating
name that incorporates the results you create and will immediately attract the
attention of your market.
A Signature System will make your marketing
much easier, allow you to more effectively enroll clients, and even help you
more effectively lead your clients to their desired
outcome.

Nearly everyone who has a cellphone loves texting, and by positioning your company as one of the few smart enough to engage customers on this medium in your local market, you can enjoy phenomenal results for being unique.

Sure-fire Way To Get The Referrals You Want
I run across many great blog posts and articles on Networking and try to post the best I find. The article I found today is by Lori Kennedy and was written for the Health Industry but what she discusses can relate to any industry.
She professes that if you aren't getting the referrals from your network of connections it is likely YOUR OWN FAULT! She gives you the 3 steps to helping you get more referrals from your network complete with 3 short scripts. The scripts help your connections understand your business, what kind of referrals you are looking for, AND a Call To Action!
I just had to share this article as OC Brides is here to help you make face-to-face connections but our involvement kind of ends there. Once you make those connections you need to WORK them and this simple step by step system can help you get the most out of our events!
No one is going to build your business for you. It is up to you to "show up" and help others help you!
Read Lori's article here ....
